Harpist for Cocktail Hour

I am seriously considering hiring a harpist for our cocktail hour and possibly the ceremony portion as well. It's not a necessity, but it might be a nice change of pace from the typical steel-band or pianist. Has anyone ever been to a wedding that had a harpist play during the ceremony and/or cocktail hour? Suggestions/thoughts? I spoke to Janet King and Miriam Schilling and a few bands that offered quotes for harpists as well... definitely not a cheap add-on, but I have a good feeling it will be well-worth the splurge.
Speaking of splurges, I feel like there are so many things that can be considered a worthy splurge for weddings. Everything in the wedding world is marked-up and we are already required to pay such a big premium for anything wedding-related... so how do people choose what is splurge-worthy and not so splurge-worthy? I suppose everything is a personal choice... but how and why are some things considered splurge-worthy?
Being a budget-bride is not easy, but there is really no end to how much you can potentially spend on a wedding. No end...
